You won’t find many as quiet as Queso-nothing phases him. You can crawl between his legs, tangle ropes around his feet, ride him up stairs or even stand on him waving a tarp. Run out to the pasture and climb on him bareback for an easy stroll or saddle him up and run a steer down at a full gallop-he’s the same relaxed horse enough matter the job. 

It doesn’t matter if it’s freezing cold or if there’s complete chaos all around, Queso will stand there patiently waiting for you without ever getting bothered. But don’t confuse his mellow personality with laziness-he’s happy to kick it up into high gear whenever you need him to. 

He's rides outside alone or in a group, crosses water and bridges, loads easily in a trailer, stands tied quietly all day long, and is a dream to trim and shoe. 

He’s a champ logging heavy calves in the branding trap and has been tied off on countless times. Exposed to ropes, tarps, flags, kids, chickens, goats, geese and all manner of crazy things. 

He’s a perfect kids horse and will lower his head to easily halter and bridle and is very respectful on the ground. With his willing mind and kind nature, you can trust him to take care of a beginner or step it up to the level of a more experienced rider. 

His simple lead changes are smooth and consistent, as are his stops, spins, leg yields, haunches in, side pass and just about anything you'd ask of one in an arena.

Standing at 15.1 hands with sturdy, straight legs and big feet (size 1 in front), he's built to work hard all day and stay sound for years to come. Don't let his height scare you off if you're looking for something easy to get on- he'll step right up to you on a fence or anything you want and stand stock still, making it safe and easy to climb on.
