Footprints N Thesand

AQHA # 5617393

Here is a very astonishing mare with all the bells and whistles. Cricket is easy on the eyes with shape for days, balanced conformation, and a hind end the size of Texas. She is gentle, classy, very well trained and did I mention, BUCKSKIN! Cricket has a unique pedigree with top cutting, cowhorse, reining bloodlines. She is sired by Cats Moonshine, earner of $150,252 and producer of over $1.7 million. Her dam, Hollywood Footprints, has earned $5,724, produced over $75,000 and is a direct daughter of reining icon, Hollywood Dun It, NRHA Hall of Fame and 6 million dollar sire. Cricket was originally trained in the reining. She has the smoothest rocking chair lope and a jog that you could ride for days. She’s very comfortable to ride with easy transitions, stylish spins, easy lead change and deep stop. Cricket has been ridden on cows a lot and has a lot of natural cow. She has been used for sorting and would make a fun mare to show in the Cowhorse boxing or ranch versatility events. She is naturally low headed and is an elegant and gorgeous mover with a great extended trot, making a Ranch Rider’s dream. She portrays great talent and style in everything she does. Cricket is one of the best trail horses I have had the pleasure to ride. She knows where her feet are at all times and is splendid in all types of terrain. She is confident alone or to lead a group or just as happy to trail behind. Nothing bothers this very laid back and quiet minded sweetheart. She has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, huge longhorn cattle, crazy dogs, pigs and camels. Cricket is always gentle and will ride nicely for any level of rider. She has been ridden by kids and very inexperienced riders being a safe and tolerant babysitter. Even when ridden inconsistently, she is always the same gentle soul. She is accustomed to blowing tarps, loud machinery, heavy traffic, and gunfire. Cricket has a very long mane and tail and enjoys the extra attention being groomed and pampered. She has a world champion disposition and is a jewel to have around the barn. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and is good to turn out, trailer and tie next to other horses. She acts as sweet and tolerant as any good old gelding in the barn. We have roped on Cricket and used her around the ranch. She easily side passes to the gates, ground ties where you drop a rein, and is a fun partner doing anything with cows. Cricket is absolutely drop dead gorgeous with the kindest heart and will be the new barn favorite for her new person.
